Siddapur: Janata Dal (Secular) Youth Wing State President Madhu Bangarappa has called upon Uttara Kannada district in-charge minister R V Deshpande and MLAs of the region as to why they have neglected the issue of providing title deeds to bagar hukum cultivators here.

Addressing the election campaign at Bilagi, in the taluk, on Saturday, he said, 98% of people have got their title deeds in Shivamogga district.

However, in Uttara Kannada district, the political leaders have failed to achieve the target of providing title deeds to the farmers of the region, he added.

Work for people

Madhu Bangarappa said political leaders should sincerely work for the welfare of the people, without expecting anything in return.

Needs of people

They need to know about the needs of people, about whom they are working. 

He claimed that both leaders of BJP and Congress don’t want to take up pro-people activities. But, a leader needs to be strong enough to work with determined set of goals for people irrespective of his caste and religion, he added.

Party’s Sirsi Assrembly Constituency candidate Shashibhushan Hegde, Sorab taluk unit president Ganpathi, district unit president B R Naik also spoke. Madhu Bangarappa also addressed people of Shiralagi, Kavnachu, Halageri, Lambapur, Dodmane, Kyadagi and Bedkani.
