Karwar: As part of International Democracy Day celebrations, Uttara Kannada Deputy Commissioner K. Lakshmi Priya flagged off a bike rally on Sunday from the DC office premises in Karwar to Bengaluru.

The program began with participants taking a pledge to uphold the values of the Constitution’s Preamble.

Karwar City Municipal Council President Raviraj Ankolekar, District Superintendent of Police Deepan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sajid Mulla, Social Welfare Department Deputy Director Umesh, Sports Department Assistant Director Ravi, and several other officials were present at the event.

A team of 10 bikers from Uttara Kannada district, including three police personnel, left for Bengaluru to participate in the rally being held on Monday to mark International Democracy Day. Authorities have ensured all necessary safety and precautionary measures for the riders.
