The headmaster, Melwyn has filed a case after which 16 members of Sri Rama Sene were arrested.
On 6th August Friday, the state president of Sri Ram Sene, Maheshwar Koppa alleged that the headmaster had filed a false complaint against them. Speaking to reporters, he said: " We entered only with the permission of the headmaster. No kind of disturbance was created. We went with the parents only to enquire about the introduction of Arabic language."
Further he added saying, "It is illegal to teach Arabic in Government-aided schools as the language belongs to one particular religion. But school has the students belonging to all the communities. Also the members of Sene had met the headmaster of the school with extreme disciplined manner. There is a political conspiracy for filing the case against the activists. If the case is not with driven, then massive protests against churchs will be staged."
"Teaching Arabic is nothing but a conversion racket. It will motivate people to become IS terrorists," he said.
He also went on to add that since the school is government-aided, they should teach Tulu script, Bhagvad Gita, Ramayana Aand Mahabharata.
