Mangaluru: Jet Airways, which is  already operating two international flights daily from Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) to UAE, has decided to add one more flight to Sharjah. The flight is expected to start from August 7.

Airport Director J.T. Radhakrishna said many people from coastal region live in and around Sharjah and the facility would benefit them. It is said the Mangaluru-Sharjah-Mangaluru service would depart Mangaluru at 9.05 a.m. and arrive at MIA at 5.45 p.m. International cargo is also being planned to be lifted daily through this flight.

Mr. Radhakrishna said Air India Express is operating two flights daily to Dubai and three-days-a week service to Doha, Bahrain, Kuwait, Muscat and Dammam while Jet Airways is already operating daily services to Dubai and Abu Dhabi from Mangaluru International Airport.
