Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked the Indian Air Force (IAF) to evacuate Indians stranded in Ukraine due to the Russian military offensive against that country, sources said on Tuesday. The IAF is likely to deploy several C-17 aircraft as part of Operation Ganga from Tuesday, they said.

Three students studying in Udupi Girls Pre-University College, who have moved Karnataka High Court seeking permission to attend classes wearing hijab, were denied entry to sit for practical examinations while wearing hijab.
Later, one of the students released a video slamming the college authorities "for sowing the seeds of hatred against the hijab". The video has gone viral on social media.
