Central Excise officials recently seized 12 boxes containing valuable items which were being illegally transported in a private bus from Bhatkal to Mumbai, in Kumta.
The boxes had costly I-phones, chargers, protein powders used in gyms and other items, informed Karwar Central Excise Assistant Commissioner Vinash Kiran Rangolli adding that the cost of the items was yet to be estimated.
