'Clean Bhatkal-Safe Bhatkal' drive inaugurated

Bhatkal: The Rabita Society's 'Clean Bhatkal, Safe Bhatkal' was inaugurated by MLA Mankal Vaidya at Anjuman High School ground.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Mankal Vaidya reminded the public about their responsibilities in keeping the environment clean. He also spoke about the road safety measures and urged the public to support the drive undertaken by the Rabita society. 

In his presidential remarks, Dr. S M Syed Khaleelur Rahman said the NRIs who are used to clean places in foreign countries are disgusted by the garbage and waste strewn all over the city. He, therefore stressed on changing ourselves so that we can change the situation.

Later, Kazi of Markazi Khaleefa Jamaatul Muslimeen Moulana Khwaja Muinuddin Akrami Madni, vice president of Tanzeem Inayatullah Shabandri and vice president of Municipality Dr. S M Syed Saleem also presented their views on the occasion.

The ceremony began with the recitation of few verses of Holy Quran by Maulana Irshad Africa Nadvi and translation in Kannada by Raza Manvi whereas President of Majlis-e-Islah-wa-Tanzeem Kazia Muzammil welcomed the gathering. 

General Secretary of Rabita society, Muhiyuddin Ruknuddin explained about the 'Clean Bhatkal, Safe Bhatkal' drive while the programme was compered by Mohammed Muaz Shabandri.

Chief Kazi of Jamaatul Muslimeen Maulana Muhammed Iqbal Mulla Nadvi, General secretary of Tanzeem Altaf Kharuri, Shridhar Naik, Parameshwar Naik and others were present on the dais.
