Bhatkal: A thief who stole a co-passenger's mobile phone on train was arrested by railway police and then have handed over to Bhatkal police at Bhatkal railway station. 

The accused has been identified as Arvind (35), an Uttar Pradesh resident. Sources have informed that, accused has stolen a passenger's mobile phone at Madgao, later escaped from the spot by changing the train and travelling on Ernakulam express. As he reached Bhatkal, the railway police, getting suspicious of his behaviour arrested him and handed over to the police.

The Bhatkal police have undertaken the accused under them and further investigations are on.
