Udupi: An incident was reported at Hangarkatte near Kundapur in Udupi district where a woman succumbed to electric shock while she was using grinder.

She was immediately rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced brought dead.

The deceased has been identified as Preeti Lewis (28).

Sources say that she was grinding gravy while she suffered an electric shock from the grinder. She is survived by a 16 months old baby and her husband Stany Monteiro who resides in Kuwait.
