Karwar: Executive engineer of Kadra dam has alerted the locals residing besides the Kali river and low lying areas near Kadra dam that excess water from the dam might be released owing to the increasing water levels.

It is reported that the water level in the Kadra dam has increased due to the incessant rains and as a precautionary measure has requested that the locals to move to safer places from the river banks to avoid being affected in the event of flooding.
