Kusal Perera struck a quick-fire half century to steer Sri Lanka to a six-wicket win over Bangladesh in the first of their two-match Twenty20 International series in Colombo today.
Perera, who passed a late fitness test to be included for the game, hit 77 off 53 balls as Sri Lanka reached 158-4 in 18.5 overs after restricting Bangladesh to 155-6.

After Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government waived off farmers' loans, the Congress Party on Wednesday said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stated that what was being announced was far too less for the farmers of the state.
Congress leader Randeep Surjewala told ANI that such less amount will not free the farmers from their debt or provide them adequate relief.

The death toll from a suspected chemical weapons attack on a rebel-held Syrian town has risen to 72, 20 of them children, a monitoring group said today.
