Seven persons were on Sunday killed and four others seriously injured when a SUV collided with a roadways bus near Bheera Rajadepur village in Bardah area here, the police said.
The incident occurred around 5.40 am when an SUV carrying passengers from Ballia to Vidhyachal Dham in Mirzapur collided with the bus, they said.

One person was killed and five others were injured in clashes between security forces and protesters as polling for by-election to the Srinagar parliamentary constituency began here, leading to abysmally low voting in many parts. The BSF opened fire in Pakharpora near Charar-e-Sharif area to quell stone-pelting protesters in which at least one person was killed and five injured.

The Congress Party on Saturday filed a complaint to the Election Commission of India (EC) against Karnataka Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president B.S. Yeddyurappa for allegedly distributing money ahead of Karnataka by-polls.
The complaint was also filed against BJP leader M. P. Renukacharya ahead of the Gundlupet by-polls.
